Wood Turned Art

Resources

The Woodturning Center has played a very important role in the development of woodturning in the United States and beyond. This organization is a not for profit and has been instrumental in encouraging the education and promotion of turning.

This organization is internationally recognized as a leader in information and assistance to wood turners world wide. Supporting galleries, collectors, hobbyists and artists, these two organizations cannot run by themselves. Your help is needed and appreciated. Donating your time, effort and monatary donations will help keep turning around for the next generation.

If you travel to or live in Philadelphia, make it a point to stop by and visit their galleries and see what wood turned art at it's finest is all about. See what you can do to continue promoting lathe turned art for future generations to enjoy and admire.

Sean:

I enjoyed viewing your website and learning a little about your art.   It is good to see that you are doing well.  It has been quite a few years since the wall at KHS.

Sean,

Got here from an article about Carole Valentine on sawmillcreek.  Have been through Henderson numerous times, my brother lives in Madisonville.  My wife and I camped at JJ Audubon park and hiked the trails last year after meeting my brother and sil and playing golf a little 9 hole course (not the one in the park). I turn on a JEt 1642.

Sean,

I first met you at an az meeting.  I did not join the group but have continued to turn.  I was glad to see your site and know that all is well with you.  You must long for some of that Mesquite turning.  Keep up the good work and I will visit your site for some tips.

Sincerely, Dennis Swaney

Isn't it funny that it takes some of us a life time to figure out what we really want to do when we grow up. Your stuff (art ;-)) looks beautifull

You just need a few solar energy panels on the roof of the shop so you can use renewable energy to make truly green art

All the best

John

Hey, just thought I'd stop by and say hello.  Looking good also check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WoodturningLinks/

I belong to 4 clubs and take photos and video them when I can make it.  So I've created a group for each one and a common group to put link into.  I also have a Carving group, totally turning group and will create one from last years AAW 2008 that I took a lot of photos at.

Commission Wood Turned Art.

If you've ever thought about a particular style or shape of a wood turning you would like to have but never seem to see it in galleries, let me discuss what I can turn for you. Doing commission work is one of the ways of turning I really enjoy doing. Working with a customer and seeing the piece take shape is exciting. For custom woodturnings, I photograph the entire process for you from log to finished woodturning. Let me know what I can make for you.
